Description

Shipwright is the second limited edition Scotch whisky from Ardgowan’s prized Clydebuilt collection. It follows the success of last year’s Clydebuilt Coppersmith, which completely sold out. We are really proud to continue working with Ardgowan and to offer you Shipwright – their new, limited-edition Scotch whisky.

When we first tasted Shipwright, we were stunned by how smooth and delicate it was – despite the respectable 48% strength! We were drawn in by its complex bouquet of flavours, with Christmassy notes of caramelised oranges and chocolate liqueur candies. The delicate and rich taste of Shipwright is inherited from four single malts selected from Speyside and Highland distilleries and matured to perfection in first fill Olorosso sherry casks.

Tasting notes

In the glass, Ardgowan Shipwright has a glowing amber hue. In the mouth it offers flavours of Christmas pudding, chocolate truffles, orange marmalade and marzipan, with a touch of black pepper and sandalwood. This whisky has a velvety, smooth and mellow texture, with a rich and warming feel.
